Two complaints: 1. Bait and switch: they advertise appointments with dermatologists, but then schedule you with medical technicians. While I am sure that the technicians are perfectly capable of performing routine screenings, this practice feels dishonest. 2. Opaque billing: I was told at the time of the appointment that the visit was covered by insurance, and received a bill a month later. The bill wasn't large, but I wasn't I alerted to the fact that I should expect it at the time that I was seen, nor was I able to conveniently call anybody for an explanation of the charges. They employ a call center to handle billing inquiries -- the 215 number on market street is a mirage that goes first to AI and then to the call center.

I had a great experience with Dr. Farber! She’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I’ve felt rushed at other dermatology offices but not here. Dr Farber took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff is also great and the office very efficient.

First and last visit here. Went in for skin problem that I have had for a year that my pcp tried to treat. Saw PA who In 2 minutes told me it was anxiety and prescribed all the treatments I told her didn’t work! Total waste of time. Had to wait an extended amount of time at front desk because receptionist was involved in a conversation about her grandchildren n then finally called me to the desk. Won’t be going back and definitely don’t recommend

I visited Schweiger Dermatology – Market Street in April 2025 to have a small pigmented lesion evaluated. Dr. Christina Chung briefly examined it and casually mentioned that some patients prefer to leave it as is, while others choose to have it removed. I said I’d prefer to remove it, but what followed was extremely unprofessional. Without any explanation of what the procedure involved, no mention of risks, no warning about side effects, and no eye protection whatsoever, she immediately turned around and sprayed cryotherapy near my eye while standing—without asking me to close my eyes or shield them, and without saying anything about what to expect. There was no informed consent, no explanation that this would be a billable procedure. It felt rushed and careless, as if she was in a hurry. The entire visit lasted around 15 minutes. Then came the billing disaster: • They charged $690 total for this brief visit • My insurance paid $482, despite Schweiger coding the visit incorrectly • I was then billed for the remaining $207.21, which I disputed in writing • Schweiger never responded to the dispute — and instead, they sent it to collections I now have a visible scar, and I’m dealing with a collections agency for a procedure that I was never properly informed about or consented to be billed for. My experience with this clinic was stressful, careless, and completely avoidable. What should’ve been a routine evaluation turned into a billing nightmare and long-term frustration. Patients deserve better — clear communication, proper consent, basic procedural safety (especially when working near the eyes!), and responsive billing practices. I got none of that here. I strongly advise against this practice if you value ethical care and transparency. ---------- Update 12/18/2025: After connecting with the office, I learned that the total charge of $207 was not covered by insurance and was indeed the full amount due. The previous amounts I mentioned, which I initially thought were paid by insurance, were actually just adjustments or discounts that weren’t clearly explained on the statement. I appreciate the clarification and have adjusted my rating to 3 stars to reflect that the billing confusion is now resolved. Nonetheless, I’m still not happy with the initial lack of clear communication, the absence of basic safety measures during the procedure and very poor billing support. If everything had been explained properly from the start, I would have paid the amount right away and avoided all the extra hassle. I hope this feedback helps improve future patient experiences.
