Huge fan of aesthetician, Danielle. She is attentive, listens with care, high professionalism while also being kind and concerned with my concerns. At 74, I've moved away from injections and such, and more into acceptance PLUS less invasive treatments, such as those Danielle provides. Her recommendations for my goals were perfect for my skin with better than expected results, and my complexion has never looked better, unavoidable smile lines and all. I wear less makeup, meaning less time to get myself out the door. She is the best aesthetician I have ever experienced. 10 stars!

The process of booking an appointment, verifying insurance, etc. was very efficient. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Moreover, I am very pleased with the care delivered by Megan Hileman.
The process of communicating with your provider should you have questions about prescriptions, etc. is horrendous. Voicemails aren’t answers and your concerns aren’t communicated to your provider. I left 4 voicemails and had to talk to 3 different medical assistants in order to obtain a simple refill.

I really enjoyed my visit to Metroderm and having the ability to work with Dr. Perkins. The road to get there was bumpy, however, and as I continue to try to work with the front desk reception and prescription team, I’m pretty bummed out by their lack of customer service.
For starters, I first reached out to Metroderm months ago for a first appointment. As I awaited my first appointment, I had questions related to my insurance, which I asked the staff about. Staff seemed uninterested in answering any of my questions and it became obvious I wasn’t going to get any answers from them. Nonetheless, this practice had good reviews, so I kept my appointment.
My first appointment was canceled due to an issue with my provider being out sick. This is understandable and I didn’t have a problem with that. I rescheduled for the next week and was looking forward to my appointment. Unfortunately, however, I had to leave town suddenly due to a death in the family. Thus, I called the office, with proper notice to cancel my appointment. I was then notified that if I ever made another appointment again and canceled for some reason, they would not be able to see me.
I was baffled by this response given that I had only two cancelations - one through no fault of my own. I explained to them that I left for a funeral for the cancelation of my second appointment. The person I spoke to told me that this was just the policy.
I understand the need to have a policy in place for people who are avid cancelers, however, I had proof of my issue and again, my first appointment was canceled by the practice itself. Thought that was super strange and again, 0 customer service etiquette whatsoever in their communication of this to me.
Now, I fast forward to my appointment. I checked in online and was able to be seen by the doctor very quickly. I had a great experience with the doctor and we spoke of next steps.
I did my part and reached out to the provider for a prescription that was recommended. For the product I’d be using, I needed a doctor signature and additional information. It’s now going on over two weeks since I’ve sent the paperwork to the front office staff. I sent it to them via email and was told it had not been received.
They told me to send it to the email address I had already sent it to. So, I send it again. I think at this point, I’ve sent it four or five times. I have also followed up with voice messages (because they don’t answer the phone or connect you to a line that doesn’t answer) and I’ve also had an instance where the voicemail box was full.
Today, I called again to get an update. Last week, it was acknowledged the paperwork was received, but I have not received any additional details.
It’s really a shame when you find a great doctor, but the staff does the team no favors. It has been like pulling teeth to get this paperwork back and it’s really disappointing. My next course of action will be to go in person, but in the age of technology, I thought it might be easier.
Again, this place has great reviews and my experience with the doctor was great, but I’m really baffled by the lack of customer service for the rest of the staff here. I don’t typically like to leave these types of reviews but I can’t in good faith wholeheartedly recommend this practice based on my experience at this point in time.

The team at Metroderm DC (specifically, Dr. Stolar and Danielle Jackson) have completely transformed my skin! I became a patient of Dr. Stolar’s in 2020 when I began to experience uncontrollable cystic-like acne breakouts. My skin was in the worst condition of my life. Dr. Stolar quickly got me on a regimen that cleared up the existing breakouts and prevented new ones.
Not too long after I began seeing Danielle Jackson to clear up hyperpigmentation from the acne breakouts and to maintain my skin. I began seeing her monthly and now bi-monthly for diamond glow facials and chemical peels. Danielle is so personable and experienced, and I truly enjoy every visit with her.
I couldn’t be happier with the current state of my skin—it’s clean, clear, and glowing! ✨

Danielle definitely knows her stuff. Had a great experience with her. Explained the entire laser hair removal process and kept checking to make sure I was ok. Great service provided.
