I was recommended by my mother to come see Dr. Adams because I need to get a check up for skin cancer. Everything was perfect the first time I came in even though Dr. Adams was doing everything. What I mean by this is, she was the recipient and the doctor. That was fine and everything was perfect but when I came the next time she had a rude reception (Ericka), who was very rude and tried scheduling my appointment months out in advance. She even told me that because I was young in age, that’s why I had to wait. Ericka told me that they like to schedule appointments for elderly people before the younger people. I don’t know if she knows this but that’s against the law. I could have reached out to a lawyer regarding Ericka comments but I chose not too. I reached out to Dr. Adams right away via text message and told her how rude Ericka was and what she told me about scheduling elderly patients before younger patients. When Dr. Adams responded she never apologized for Ericka’s actions or said anything about booking elderly patients before younger patients. All Dr. Adams did was schedule a appointment for me sooner the Ericka said it would be (2months almost). It gets even worse because Dr. Adams office or her didn’t inform me that they change their in network and I would no longer be covered under my insurance. She or her office couldn’t inform me of this until I got a big bill and called the billing to get the information that she change her in network. When I text Dr. Adams about this she gave me no apology and told me she could knock off $100. The fact that she doesn’t care to inform her patients of the change in network speaks volumes about this office. This is a very shady business tactic and I hope this message gets back to her. Read the reviews and you will see that she doesn’t care to address her receptionist rude behavior. Like my nurse girlfriend says, the receptionist is the fist person the patient sees and is a reflection on the practice. If Dr. Adams doesn’t care that her receptionist is rude or informing her patients in the change in network, then why be a patient with her ? READ THE OTHER REVIEWS ONLINE
