Our experience has been frustrating and scary.
Standard of care for the follow up of a skin cancer was not received and misinformation was given. After the biopsy revealed a skin cancer no further follow up was recommended.
We questioned the doctor about her NO PLAN of follow up care during the post biopsy visit. But Dr Gamber explained that no further visits were indicated❗️
I specifically asked about the need for whole body checks for unseen skin cancer and at least a Biannual or annual follow up of the biopsy site where cancer was incompletely removed.
(because this is the standard of care)
Now fifteen months later the lesion has grown back and is profoundly itchy.
We have made SEVERAL attempts at trying to schedule another visit without success.
The care team says that the medical record notes that the patient was told to return for the aforementioned visits of whole body checks and biopsy site surveillance. However this is not what we were told.
It pays to have a witness when you go to the doctor these days.

It was disappointing that when I had a relevant question about the proposed treatment (ineffective) after the visit with Dr Gamber, no one on her team followed up for a week despite multiple emails and phone calls (phone was difficult to get thru to begin with). The staff finally replied a week later, but the doctor never responded despite my note of disappointment. Quite the don’t care attitude for a supposed healthcare business.

I've been to AA Derm three times for various reasons over the past 7yrs. I just saw Dr. Gamber today and I had the BEST experience! I went for a skin cancer check. We had a chat, she diagnosed me, and removed a keratosis then and there. Her Physician's Assistant (she told me her name but I cannot remember it! She has long dark hair and halloween crocs) was also awesome and friendly! It was quick, but not rushed. I was in and out and appreciated the timeliness. Highly recommend!
