This office is horrible. This would be the last dermatology office I would ever recommend to anyone. Not only did the front desk lie to me and tell me they called my insurance and charged me a co-pay that I knew I did not owe. Which is something I could forgive, but what’s not forgivable is having Dr. Max completely dismiss my husband and I. My husband went to go see a new dermatologist and is now getting five cancerous moles removed. Dr. Max looked at him within two minutes and told him he was fine and let him go. My husband has moles all over his body and throughout his head Dr. Max did not even look at his head. One of the cancerous moles is in his head. I truly feel that this doctor is only concerned about himself and how much money he makes. He lost out on some money making patients here since my husband has cancerous moles. He was rude during my exam and just extremely dismissive. If you’re looking to see a dermatologist he is not your guy!

Horrible experience. The DAY OF MY APPT 7.27.23, I get there and they tell me i had an outstanding balance of a whooping $37.00 from 2014!!!!! Are you kidding me? Why did they wait til the day of my appt to tell me??? I made my appt a month prior. I have a serious skin infection and now i have to find a doctor to treat me. NEVER EVER will i recommend this practice!!! 8 years!!! No bill, no call, nothing!!!

Awesome people. Friendly front desk staff. Appointments go smoothly and in a timely fashion. Unlike my experience at another dermatologist, these guys are straight pros and really show they care about the people who come through the door. If you live in Carroll County, or even if you don't, make this your dermatology practise.

Dr Max has been competently and kindly treating my family for over two years now, with visits averaging every other month for chronic conditions. The office staff are friendly and helpful in every way, from our experience.

Like others, horrible care, if you could call it that, from Joel Max. Similar to other's experiences, barely performed a mole screening. I had to tell him which ones I thought were suspicious. No communication or discussion about my concerns. Whole visit was less than three minutes. Stay very far away.
