I had an excellent experience with Valerie Callender and her team. From the moment I arrived, the environment was professional, welcoming, and efficient. The staff was courteous and respectful of my time, which I truly appreciated.
Dr. Callender was exceptionally thorough and attentive. She took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and provided clear, detailed explanations about my skin and treatment options. I never felt rushed, and I left the visit feeling informed, reassured, and confident in the plan moving forward.
What stood out most was the level of patient-centered care—there was a genuine sense of expertise paired with compassion. It’s not always easy to find a provider who balances both so seamlessly.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Callender to anyone seeking knowledgeable, professional, and attentive dermatologic care. An outstanding experience from start to finish.

The doctor is good but it’s a coin toss as to how long you will wait. My appointment was at 11:00am and I am still waiting. The reason they were running behind is plausible however, I as a client should be told that information upfront. I had to ask before being told they were15-20 minutes behind, which turned into over an hour. The PA who finally came in was Linda S. who was worth the wait. She was informative, professional and provided both an apology and explanation for the scheduling issue. Just come prepared to wait but the excellent service is worth it!!!!

I literally just walked out of the office. This was my first time visiting and there was a receptionist who was incredibly rude at the front desk. Her demeanor was nasty and she was very short with me, even though I had never been to the office before. She also rolled her eyes when I had questions about needing a referral because I just changed insurances. Im not sure of her name, but she was darker skinned with glasses, I believe. Thankfully, Toya (I got her name right before leaving) was incredibly kind and sweet.
I would have been turned off from the office as a whole if it wasn’t for Toya, but decided I at least want to come back and see the doctor because I didn’t get a chance to today.
My previous dermatologist, who has an amazing office with the sweetest staff, recommended me here. The only reason I left my previous derm is because of the distance from where I live and this is closer. Hopefully, I’ll be back with a better review. Maybe she was having a bad day, but needs to understand that can make or break clientele. I usually don’t mind if people aren’t the kindest. I understand that everyday isn’t a good one, but she was just plain mean.

I had my first visit to this dermatologist's office, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was very welcoming and made the check-in process quick and easy. The office is absolutely beautiful. I didn't have to wait long, and everything felt very efficient without being rushed. Dr. Callender was excellent -- very knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a professional and friendly, dermatology experience.
